Search box misconfigured?

Hello,
This is how the searchbox looks like:

In addition, it doesn't "Auto-discover"..

I've tried all sorts of settings combinations but can't seem to make it work.

Hi

Are you far along with this site? - as I notice you are using 2.5

If possible I would suggest starting with J3

No way...
This site has thousands of items.. and lots of traffic I tried J3 before and it has a lot of issues.

ah ok - just thought I'd check

Are you looking to remove the label?
If so enter a space in its box

Configuration fixed.

But no OpenSearch autodiscovery...

I'm not sure - I think the browser used may come into it
