menu styles - again :-)

Hi there,

still stuck with menu styles.

Problem: It seems not possible to have a menu in a template position other than footer with a horizontal alignment.

What was done:
Created a new menu
Published a menu module in grid1 - This displays a list with one item under the other and the first blue = a vertical menu list.
Tried all variations: nav_pills, nav-pills etc. Double checked with the menu in footer, the docs and the T3 forum.
Still I am not able to have a horizontal menu display.

Alternative – template native:
As alternative, the menu position was changed in the template configurator, meaning grid1 became also a menu position. It has some effect: The menu item display is vertical, but double. It shows the same menu twice.
The mega menu worked, but on websites with lots of content, you do not want to always use a mega menu but use a simple list instead.

Could you please guide me to the right steps for the setup of a horizontal menu. I still think that to some degree it has to do with the template as the footer menu works perfectly (CSS: ul nav nav_pills nav_stacked) but the same does not work on the grid positions.

Thanks a lot B)

Are we talking about a simple horizontal with no drop downs?

So you would just create a custom module and style the menu as required

Unstyled list as the html and then display inline with padding and with li styling to remove unwanted bits

Cheers
