Zlib and Zen tools

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi,
Zen tools modules don't work on my site. I don't know what caused it. I'm trying to reinstall zen tools, but the extensions manager is asking for Zlib. What is that?
Thanks,
Alina

I asked my host if they host other joomla sites. Here's the answer

Hello

Yes, we have many other Joomla Sites that work perfectly. zlib.output_compression is currently Off, but I can activate it
Gregory Köfer:
But in the PHP5 FastCGI zlib is active
Alina Mnatsakanian:
When I tried to upload the zen tools module, it asked for Zlib. I don't know more.

I had my host install Zlib and I was able to reinstall zen tools. Now I get a different error message!

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_strlen() in /home/alinamn/public_html/new/modules/mod_zentools/includes/zentoolshelper.php on line 62

What is the problem?

That means you don't have the php extension mbstring installed or set up correctly

Ask the host if this is installed correctly

Dear Paul and dear Rob,
Thank you so much for your support. I was able to talk to my host and have them help me to get my website work. Now it's online finally! www.alinamn.com

My next step is to put some videos on the site. What is the best way?

Cheers,
Alina

Hi Alina,

Glad to hear that :)

Easiest way is to upload them to video sharing site e.g. youtube or vimeo etc

Then use the embed snippet code into the page

You may need to enable jce editor (if using it) to allow iframes

Cheers
