Profilr template question

Hello JB!

I'm trying the profilr template. I was wondering if someone can help me with a background video on panel6. I've added a module to panel6 for "contact us" and that works. I'm having trouble understanding how to add the background video to that panel though.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I figured out that this is the Display BG image option in the template panel tab.

I have a different question now. I'm trying to add a module that will give me the full screen slider like the one on the demo panel2. I'm trying to use the zentools2 slider backstretch but i can't get it to fill the entire screen

I'm back,

I've set panel 3 to module. I created a zentools2 module for panel3. The module is slideshow-backstretch, the module content is joomla, i've dragged and dropped the video into the item content, i've pointed the content to the articles i want in the slideshow, i've set the module class suffix to "fullscreen" in advanced settings. The articles that the module point to have the following in the content

<p class="intro"><iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/videoid" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>

yet the videos don't display.
Anyone know what i'm doing wrong?

Hi Paul,

Can you try with a normal slideshow layout rather than a slideshow-backstretch

Does that show the video?

I'll try the regular slideshow in zentools2.

Do you know if i've put this in the right place? According to the profilr documentation http://docs.joomlabamboo.com/joomla-templates/profilr-documentation (yes i do try to read them), under the Frontpage tab, in the Settings for Panel types, module section, it says

The module type is used to display a module in the panel area. The position used for the panel can be set in the Module position parameter which is displayed underneath the panel type setting when this option is selected.Use the module class "fullwidth" to specify that the module stretches to the full width of the srceen. When the fullwidth class is applied the content of the module will sit underneath the sidebar. By default the module is positioned to the right of the sidebar and will respond to whether the sidebar is in its collapsed or non-collapsed state.

The explanation is good at describing what happens but isn't really very detailed regarding how to do it, so i am not 100% sure i am doing this correctly. Do you know if i'm setting the Module class suffix correctly? Should it be with or without quote marks. fullwidth or "fullwidth"?

I tried the normal video option in zentools2 with pretty much all the same settings as the backstretch video. Same result.

Hey Paul,

It seems this is actually an issue with the slideshow. I'm not sure if it's a user issue (i'm doing something wrong) or if there is a glitch in the template or the module.

I got the template to do a full screen video. However, i'm wanting to do a full screen video slideshow. Is it possible to get some directions on how that would be accomplished with this profilr template?

Hi Paul,

Yes sorry I see now.
In your source there is this error:

This slideshow requires the use of images. Please add the image tag in the layout tool in your module settings.

But the template is hiding it or not displaying it. So the slideshow you have chosen needs the image tag added to the layout area in the zentools2 settings.
