Google search does not find my site

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Dear Paul and Anthony,
my profilr based site is now online for a couple of days. I'm really satisfied how the site looks and it loads now pretty smooth with no issues. Anyway, but when I try to find it by google search it is not yet listed, although the my name and the central keyword are both even part of the address. Search engine optimization in the backend is enabled. What can I do to sold this issue?

Did you add your website to the Google analytics website and tell google to index it?

Google analytics is activated (works!). But where can I tell google to index my site?

On the Google Analytics website. You will have to browse around to it a bit to find it

It is very much up depending on Google once they know the site exists when they index the site and add it to the search results.

Also look to set up a webmaster tools account and link that account to the analytics

Hi Michael,

Typically it takes Google a little while to index a site, and if it is on a popular topic, you may find you are rated so low initially, it still seems hardly worth it.

I see you have added a Google header into your site and listed it in analytics, so for sure it will be found. I would allow a few days for this.

If you want to boost page rank, then Google Places and Google local and plenty of SEO graft will benefit you.

I assume you have a good sitemap... you can check for this in analytics too.

Cheers

Thanks Richard,

With it being a one page template by all means create a sitemap but it isn't as ivital as with a multi page site as its just the one page effectively

I'd echo the Google places as a great option if applicable

If you are concerned about the impact of it being a one page site I'd check out Matt Cutts comments on it (Works for Google)
