New Lifestyle Questions

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I am using the New Lifestyle template and have a couple of questions. I have tried to find the answers, but not having any luck :( . This is all referring to the site: www.floridatropicalart.com

First, there is a slideshow published to the banner module. When you scroll down the page the banner is 'sticky' at least for about a screen length. It appears that this is a function of the banner module position because if I move the banner to another position this doesn't happen. How do I get rid of this and have the banner just static on the page, so it doesn't move when scrolling down the page.

I need to remove the padding above the logo in the Top4 Module. I can use the nopadding module class suffix to remove the padding below the logo, but I can't move the log up.

Is there a way to extend the menu module across the entire page?

For some reason the tabs module will not populate. I have a module published to that position, but it does not show!?

Thanks!

Roy

Hi Roy,

With the menu - have you tried setting the width to 12 in the Search width in the Theme tab - just tried this myself and seems to work ok

Regarding the padding

I can see an empty

<h1> </h1>

tag which is adding a lot of space inside the top4 module you've created

Thanks Paul. I totally missed the width in the Theme tab. That fixed that problem. I do see the empty h1. Not sure where that is coming from? Any ideas? I am not sure how to get rid of it.

Thanks,

Roy

<div class="custom">
<h1> </h1>
<p><img src="/images/logo2edited.png" alt="Florida Tropical Art" width="1000" height="199"></p></div>

Its above the img you added for the logo

E.g. its the same custom html module as the image that displays as the full width logo

That looks much better :). Any ideas about the sticky banner and why the tab module doesn't show?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Roy,

With the tabs - what layout file are you using for the home page?

If you go to the layout tab does -
Position & Responsive Configuration
say "Home"
or something else?

OK, now I am just looking bad! That did fix it. I thought I had it set for home, but obviously I didn't.

Thanks,

Does that fix the other user for the slideshow as well?

Looks a lot better

No, it does not seem to, but you are right, it does look a lot better! Only one issue to go, at least for now!

Thanks again.

Can you try adjusting the slideshow max height value in theme magic perhaps try something like 350px or around there to start with

I changed it to 300 and it looks tighter, but it still functions the same (sticky).

Thanks,

hmm not entirely sure on this one

With the other parts of the site you need a new template layout rather than home

Assign the home layout template style to the home page and the other template style as default by clicking the start

With the slideshow - does it look if you enable the sticky menu in the effects tab of the template settings?
