New Lifestyle template Hikashop products not working

Hello, I am having a problem with my New Lifestyle template. I Uploaded Hikashop to the new site via the extensions manager then I imported the CSV file. From this point forward I have run into several problems. 1. Product page dose not appear. 2 checkout and login dose not function. etc.

With my previous site I did not have any of these issues currently I am stumped as to what do to resolve this issue. Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Your product pages are using the home template which does not show the main component area.

This is usually because the items being linked to are not associated with a menu item so they open using the menu item that they were linked from, which in this case, is the homepage.

I think the latest t3 version has a new option under the layout manager do select a sub layout which will be used when items have no menu id so you could try that, but the best option would be to set up the menu structure so that the products have nice urls, rather than index.php/component/hikashop/product/

I relinked the menu items to the sub page and it seems to have worked although I still have some products on the site that do not link to the product description or any of the other attributes associated with purchase.

In addition I am unable to create/fix the contact us button on the Top Menu, I am getting a map as opposed to a contact form.

Sounds like you may still need to create a number of menu items to point to the specific categories. This is a Joomla config issue and is common issue with trying to display pages that have no menu item and the main template is hiding the content on the front page.

You have errors displaying on the page. From what I can tell the message is saying there are no contacts available. You need to go to the components > contacts and add a contact and then associate it with the menu item.

I followed your instructions "components > contacts and add a contact and then associate it with the menu item". The result is that I have a contact form without any form fields.

How do I remove the geo map from the contact us section? It only seems to appear when selecting contact from the home page position.

The Hikashop navigation button loads the page but as you mentioned the products are not readily visible. To view the products you must scroll past the Login feature (sidebar-2)
and the products begin just after.

Also the (HikaShop , Joomla!® Online Store Component) tag sits at the very top of the page.

That's a module loading in grid21 which is positioned below the content area

The content area is empty which means the hikashop copyright shows at the top of the page

Would it help if we provided a link to download the large demo site version (not intended for release) so you can look closely how its put together?
