Just setting up Hikashop with New Lifestyle. I like the way in the demo the tabs position Featured Products is displayed when you open the homepage.

Since I have set up a Hikashop module called Sale Items and assigned it to the Tabs Position no tabs are now open when you open up the homepage. You have to click on the tab to see it.

I just removed link to sale items from module and the tabs open straight away. When I allocate the sale item category to a product in hikashop the tabs don't open straight away.

I'm not sure but are you able to test with this feature disabled?

Ok, I've disabled the voting system which is causing the conflict and it now works. I'll post a message in the Hikashop forum to see if they can shed some light on it.

Actually I have another problem in the way the hikashop content module is displaying the sale product items. When the screen is wider the thumbnail image enlarges and it bunches the header, price and description under it. Is this also a hikashop issue with the template?

Do I need to open another forum post for this?

The issue is with this line

.hikashop_products .hikashop_product_image img {width: 100%;}

The problem being with the images as you've got them laid out - without that they overlap on lower device widths

so try

.hikashop_products .hikashop_product_image img {width: inherit;}

and then add a media query on lower widths
