I am trying to mirror many features of the new lifestyles template in my developing site -

I cannot upload the quickstart files but I wondered if you had any documentation to help me - particularly with the menu configurations.

I am also trying to figure out how hikashop, K2 and this template image settings work together - For example, the module in bottom 2 - how do I get the images smaller -

Can I just check why you are unable to load the quickstart files?

When I used the joomla extension manager, I got an internal server error.
When I uploaded the unpacked files with Filezilla, I got a blank screen on the front end.

I am in a time crunch (of course! ) and started configuring hikashop and adding content so I don't have a blank slate anymore -

Any suggestions?

Um you can't install any quickstart to an existing joomla installation

Unpacking files and uploading via FTP isn't very reliable given the sheer amount of files and potential permission issues

Its always best to upload intact the quickstart file and extract on the server e.g.

docs.joomlabamboo.com/getting-started/how-to-install-a-joomla-3-quickstart-package

What I would suggest is installing a quickstart in a different folder/server as a comparison

Do you have a local server set up as a localhost?

I have MAMP - Would I just put the quickstart zip file in the htdocs folder and upzip it there?

yep you would

That said the hikashop qs doesn't come with hikashop installed so if you wanted to see it you would need to create a ticket and we could provide a link for a different version

We don't provide it included as it would require users to undo the configuration currently set up

Regarding localhost the JB team troubleshoot and test locally oninstalled sites in localhost so its decent way of working

I've opened a ticket with a link to the dropbox file on my machine and belatedly included the right access details
