The template demo shows a image slider at the top of the template. Does your templates come with a image slide show or is that a seperate purchase.

Its the Zentools module - Zentools is included with all the membership packages

Are you able to install a quickstart version on a local server? - that is the easiest way to learn

It enables the comparison of settings

That is the way I worked when using templates
