Hi there,
I am starting to add products (two so far) and when they display on the home page each product expands to 100% width. I looked through the "Latest Products" module and did not see where I could set the size of the products (although I do see where you can turn on the carousel). Where can I look to set this sizing?

looking at the hikashop css you need to add something along the lines of
.hikashop_products .hikashop_product_image img {width:auto;}

Thanks, Paul. I was assuming that the "New Lifestyle" template would have styling for the products already so that as they were added they would look like the demo site. Is there any way to get the HikaShop styles from the demosite into my site?

Paul,
I added the style and it did indeed make the images the correct size, however they are still stacked on top of each other. I tried adding a float: left; but that only left aligned everything and kept them stacked. I know I could go through and pick apart the styles to replicate the demo, but I just assumed the template would be set up already - and the demo looks so nice, I wanted to keep that style intact.

Also, I have not tested the entire site or checkout process, but there are other differences. For instance, on my product page, my price and product name are both styled completely different from the demo. Again, things that I could fix, but the beautiful part about a template is that the style is done for me so I can concentrate on functionality and user experience.

Any chance I goofed something in the template that would cause the template to not look the same on my site as it does on the demo? If not, any ideas about getting the style from the demo to work on my site in one fell swoop?

From looking at the site (thanks Rob) it looks like it's a setting in the hikashop as its set up as it 1 column

I'm not sure exactly which setting to change but it does look setting related

Okay, you were right. It was in the Random Products Module, then click on hikashop options and then change the columns...


The guys over at OStraining (www.ostraining.com) figured it out for me.

So, as to the other styles being off (price color on home page, title on product page, price on product page, etc...) any chance of duplicating the demo style exactly?

Hi Paul,
I am using HikaShop [1407211821]. But don't worry about it. I just assumed that things like pricing and titles would be intact when I installed the JoomlBamboo theme.

I spent most of the day tweaking the CSS to get the bulk of it done, so no need to tie you up looking at it. Thanks again for your help. I appreciate it.
