How to remove the extra padding around the New Lifestyle banner/slideshow area?

Hey beautiful people,

I am trying to change the layout of the New Lifestyle template, more precisely the bottom area of the slideshow/banner position area, so there is less white space between slideshow and breadcrumbs/main content. How do I do that? Is a configuration setting? I noticed that the slideshow has an effect that I don't need. Is it sticky or accordion or something like that. Maybe if I change that, the spacing will go away? Appreciate your help. The site is: lioramondlak.vidyawebdesign.com/index.php/collage

Thanks.

Hi Nya,

Are you on the latest version of the template?

With the effect I'm not exactly sure what you mean - do you mean the animation?

looks to me like the banner height in the template manager needs to be reduced.

Yes indeed that can be controlled in the settings but I think from memory it is overridden in one version of the template

So I'd suggest updating the template and then change the value

a couple css hacks tightened things up for me.

#maincontainerwrap.topmargin {
margin-top: 200px;
/* this was at 400px indicating template manager/less setting */
}

#breadcrumb {
margin-bottom: 0px;
/* can change this, current setting is 40px */
}

my 2c. double your money back if not satisfied.

Thanks Blueshift and Paul,

The css worked like a charm. I did change the settings in the template manager to 200px but that didn't work. I don't know what version the template is but I used your quickstart package from last week. Anyway it is working. I would never have guessed to put #breadcrumbs to 0px.

Thanks a million.
