Reproducing custom html module on front page

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi guys,
I want to reproduce the custom html module on the front page of this template. Can you give me a few pointers on how it was created? Is there an invisible table that contains the icons, bold text and text?

Thanks!
Pat

Hi Pat,

Can you add a screenshot indicating the module in question

Hi Paul,
It's the module published into grid 13 with the You Tube, apple and camera icons.

Thanks!

Its using grid syntax to create the columns and inline styling to center content
You could do this or add classes to the content

Hmm... interesting. I don't remember seeing anything describing this grid syntax. I'd like to use it again - is there any documentation for this?

Thanks, Paul - this does work...

In the JB Type documentation there seems to be some missing code:
Under Type Font Icons it says:
"
Each icon is name spaced with their corresponding icon so if you look at the source code of a page using JB Type font icons you would see something like the following code:"

- the place where this code should be is EMPTY -

Thanks,
Pat

Hi Pat,

This module isn't actually using the jbtype syntax its using the framework syntax - they both do the same thing however

The problem with syntax like this is its easy to accidentally cause it to rendered on screen (as with the doc example)

I'll just try and find an example of jbtype

Is there any other sample for using the {grid4} syntax? Like, why is it grid 4? Where does that come from, etc.

Thanks!

I have been able to use what you gave me and resized & colored my icons differently...

Right ok

Probabyl best to look at a demo site version

bambootheme.com/showcase/jun14/template-features/style/typography

Chose the layout settings tab and scroll down to bottom of page

Thanks, Paul, I will study that page.
I see a link to the iconic icon set. Is all of the Iconic stuff already a part of what I down-loaded with jb Type?

;)

Yes that is part of JB Type

They are actual images rather than font icons - so are not as flexible as font icons
