Hi

on www.holmfirthhead.co.uk I want to change the font to make it a bit more bold.

If I go in to templates -> New Lifestyles -> Fonts and change the body font family, nothing seems to happen in my articles.

Do I need to alter the following?

Open+Sans:400,600,300:latin? Not sure how.

Hi,

What have you set the body font to be?

At the moment I am seeing it as Adobe Caslon Pro

Open sans is a font loaded from google and will only apply if you have selected google fonts.
You can choose a new google font at www.google.com/fonts

Regards,

Rob

Thanks yes I did choose that font. Strange - I don't see a difference even when I refresh

I am seeing that for part of the site but other parts are still open sans you check which fonts are assigned to which area.

If I check the html for an article, and there are no special fonts selected in that article, it should use the body font settings from the template - is that correct? I'm not aware of any way to change the font other than article html or template settings.

There will be no inline font styling if that is what you are looking for.
It will added to a less file and then compiled into the template css code

I'm seeing open sans as the body font
Try changing the 300 value to 600 save and compile

Where is the save and compile option?

I just want to make it a little more bold.

sorry my mistake - you don't need to compile

Just change the 300 value in that font selection and that will increase the font weight

I don't see any difference on the front page. I changed it to 600, then 900, then 1200 - don't see any difference

Hi

Just looked at this again and you are indeed correct

font-weight: bold; is needed to be added to the custom font section
Like the pic attached

You will need to add the font and the selector to do it this way

font-size.jpg

So I've targetted a div and a tag

Set to load google font

If you want to use open sans you will need to add it

and then if its just bold you need to add that in the last field

So css wise for instance you could use

font-weight: normal;
or
font-weight: bold;
