Ok, I haven't built the site yet that needs the larger logo but you are saying that when I do I will be able to get the specific solution from Joomla Bamboo?

(sorry, the link was wrong :- www.ecochrome.com.au)

Thanks,

Liz

I have attached the logo this client is currently using on their existing site. However they are planning a rebrand so the size might change again.
logo-m5v3.png

Ideally I would like a solution that I can apply to the template at any time (for different clients) so really any file can be used that has dimensions larger than 51px height (current restriction on logo height I think).

Thanks for looking at this for me Paul.

cheers,

Liz

Using that logo as an example I added

#slideshowwrap {padding-top: .5em;}
#navwrap ul.nav > li { line-height: 70px;}

So it should be doable with landscape logos as long as they are reasonable sizes

However a portrait sized logo would be a problem with this template

Ok, great, you made that seem very easy. I recall that it was resized in some browsers and not in others, and the banner overlapped the logo in some cases. However I will thoroughly test once I have the site up and running (next week I'm hoping).

thanks for your quick response to this issue. Brilliant as usual!

Hi Liz,

That is due to asking the browser to resize the image for you
Some browsers will do that for others won't

When they won't the image breaks through the available space and looks iffy

So it looks fine in chrome but not in firefox or IE

The best solution is crop the image to the exact dimensions you need the image to be for this one

The values I suggested would change depending on the height of the image

Just to confirm, when you say "The best solution is crop the image to the exact dimensions you need the image to be for this one", do you mean crop the image to be the exact dimensions I specify in #navwrap ul.nav > li { line-height: 70px;} (so the image height could not be greater than 70px)?

Thanks,

Liz

Crop the image the size you want it to look and then alter the css to reflect that

e.g. adjusting the slideshow div between the logo and the zentools banner slideshow
