tabs module...where?

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I switched a demo from a different jb template to new lifestyle. I was surprised, when i assigned a module to the tabs position, it didn't appear. and when i went to see tabs in the template manager...well, it didn't appear. --> dev link <--

suggestions? looks like i need one of your php/xml fixes.

This looks like the sub page layout (default)

To display the tabs it needs to be published using the home layout

the default layout doesn't include the tabs position

i installed the quickstart on an xxamp server - there is a front page theme there, but not in the slowstart version I downloaded as I am attempting a template change. so there must be some files and folders I can copy to the dev site?

UPDATE: RESOLVED. The selector is in T3's layout tab, Style dropdown which is where I had been looking.

Not a 100% sure I'm following :)

Was the issue that there wasn't a template style set up to display the home template layout?

Seems the issue is the different type of slideshow you are using

can you try adding

.slideshowoverlay .flex-direction-nav li a {position: absolute;}

.slideshowoverlay .slide-controller {height: 60px;overflow: visible;}

and see how that goes?

'Different type of slideshow?'

But yes, that worked. :)

On my other demo where i am trying newlifestyle, I still haven't figured out how to make the slideshow take up more of the screen (vertically). No matter what i do, that bottom edge stays the same. i've tried max height in the template manager, changing the slideshow sizing, and mediaqueries.

Are we talking min-height or was that a different thread?

#slideshowwrap .slideshow {min-height:value;}

Max-height should be a template value - no?

ah! i needed both slideshowwrap...and slideshow. (i like the double double-u)

of course all the other stuff is still on top of it....was hoping the slideshow would just push it all downscreen.

thx!

Not sure what you want to do but you could use media queries to adjust the min-height value on different devices

mediaqueries for sure -

maincontentwrap isn't relative to the slideshow, so it sits on top of the larger image. so some adjustments will need to be hacked in.

Its grid1 layout below there and it does look relative to me but it is late

Have you tried out different slideshow layouts in zentools on this?

"The slideshow is an instance of the Zentools module published to the banner position. It uses the slideshow standard layout. If you use other slideshow layouts in this position you may receive varying results."
