sticky nav

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi!

Is there a way for me to have a different color logo next to to the menu than that of when then menu is a sticky nav.

For example as soon as you go to the home page the logo is grey, and once you scroll on the page and the sticky nav appears it turns white.

Also i have managed to change the color of the sticky nav, but i would also like for on the homepage for it to have an image as its background independent of the color when it turns sticky. Do you know whether this is possible?

Thanks in advance

Good afternoon :)

I see this image as the logo

www.venetiaz.com/images/logo/venetia-zannetti.png - am I looking at the right area?

Or are we referring to the active colour on the home link

#navwrap ul.nav > li.active > a, #navwrap ul.nav > li.active .separator {
color: #3be5f5;
background: rgba(0,0,0,0.1);
}

Hi!

Yes that is correct (the logo i mean). I have it in both colors but am not sure how to go about configuring the transition...
or having a different background across the whole sticky nav when it isnt sticky.

Thanks

Hi Evyenia,

With the template it uses the logo and with it being an image without looking at php or maybe complex css changes it isn't possible

I thought you might be using text html which could be comparatively easily changed using css

With

"or having a different background across the whole sticky nav when it isnt sticky."

I'm not quite sure what you mean

I go quite like the colour you have on the sticky personally combined with the white of the logo

Hi,

i dont mind changing the logo to text if that would help.

as for the sticky menu... sorry my explanation wasnt very clear.

what i would like is something like this website has: deborahking.com/

can you see that on all pages before we scroll there is a white background with faded tress on it and once you scroll it turns to purple... i thought of changing the background of the banner but am not sure if thats the best solution because of all the different sized screens.

Thanks

Hi Evyenia,

The site example uses background images e.g. css rather than actual html images

This is easier as you just swap out the css

With this template you would need to hide the image file using css and then display a background image

Looking at the custom.css file you have errors

no close bracket line 679

Having tried this the problem I get is the image can't be resized to fit the container as being a background image that doesn't work

e.g. the the image is too big

So I think I would try using the text option and adding a background image to it for the normal logo and then styling it differently for the sticky

Hi,

thanks for point out that error to me :)

im not sure what you mean with "With this template you would need to hide the image file using css and then display a background image". Would this be easier if i got rid of the image for the logo and used text directly from the template?

Thanks
