You should be able to use the url for the default language (dutch?), but for French would then need the /fr.

The only way round this is to change the page served via .htaccess or an extension like sh404sef.

Looking at the site I think there may still be some issues with the multi language setup as all pages, for me, show with either /fr or /nl, with the link you quote giving 404 errors.

This is T3 template so check this is setup in the mega menu correctly, it is fussy about setup on dual language sites.
