OK. I am concerned about it being too small for the desktop and just right for the mobile. Not sure how the current 1.8em size plays into that.

That still doesn't explain why it hovers over everything (and there's some strange black bar underneath the logo on mobile that's not part of the my logo design) instead of moves with the page like the Nebula demo.

Yes, that's correct. I guess what's throwing me off is that there are two templates and I am not sure how they're functioning. I make all of my adjustments on the modules version. It's just perplexing.

Check the assignment tab of the modules template to see which pages it is assigned to

Ones not assigned to modules will be assigned to the default

Logo wise I would reduce the size as it's the problem on mobile

I did reduce the size and it had no affect on the floating logo. I reduced my logo to be similar ins size to the Nebula demo logo. So the size issue is taken care of. However it still floats over everything when scrolling the site on a smartphone. The Nebula demo (demo.joomlabamboo.com) doesn't do this and I am trying to figure out what's different.

I can verify this by running the Nebula demo and my site on my iPhone and see that the logos behave differently:

On demo site: logo and menu scrolls with page
On my site: logo and menu hover over scrolled content below.

That's interesting because someone who was helping me recently from Joomla Bamboo was able to access the site while I was having Gateway problems. That person was based in England. I am in Los Angeles, CA

Paul, my webhost got back to me and said there was something wrong with the .htaccess file. It's been repaired. You should now be able to see what I am experiencing with the logo on a smartphone - the difference between the Nebula demo and my site.

Try cropping the image to the size its displaying on the desktop version
