Folks, I have a Zentools module set up with the grid layout using Joomla categories as the content source. I've assigned three categories to the module which is in the slide 3 position. However when I click the categories on the working website, the links don't take me to the categories. It just reloads the home page again. This happens with each of the category links for this module on the front page.

I have no problem with links when the content source are actual articles, but since they're categories I cannot get the link to go to the category page..

This sounds the itemid issue where the system doesn't have a link so it reloads the home page

Create a hidden menu with the category links in it and see if that fixes the issue

I followed these instructions and it's not making a whole lot of sense. I even looked at your reply on the link you provided.

I created a menu, added a category list to it. I don't see how this affects the zen tools grid layout set to categories. It still doesn't work for me. My module is set to show on the home menu, but I want the category links in that module to link to their respective categories. Also, what is very strange is that the category settings says "parent category" , but allows me to put in the three categories that I want so that it displays links to three categories on the home page. Is that a problem?

Are you looking for zentools to point both to the category page and an individual article page?

That module is reloaded the page which normally is because of the issue as described in the article

Ok you may want to take a backup of the site first but please update the module there are some different options available regarding categories

You could also use a directory for a folder of images and use external links to link to the category pages in question
