Grid3 documentation missing Grid info?

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Making some progress modifying the Grid3 democontent for our needs on the developing site here:
www.sedinaz.org/dev2/

I want to work on changes for the Grid on the home page. The Grid3 doc doesn't seem to tell me where to do this, specs for images, etc.:
docs.joomlabamboo.com/joomla-templates/grid3-documentation

I must be missing this.

I also couldn't find slideshow information, but traced the images' sources and uploaded into that democontent folder (for now).

Also, I am new to Joomla! 3. (Have used 1.5-2.5 regularly though). I was trying to fish into various content, modules, grid and found only a sticky drop down menu for editing (so my height of the browser had to be very short!). So, I found in the site admin template a way to turn sticky off, but NOW anything I go into has NO way to save/Save & Close/Close. Not even in articles. Can you tell me how to get such a simple thing to work properly? I tried to search a few Joomla forums but found nothing so far.

Any help appreciated. Progress in stuck mode again.

Hi

The grid3 background uses a zentools slideshow background position it has a class to hide it mobiles

Have you updated the Joomla version recently?
This can sometimes require the browser cache to be cleared

Paul,
Thanks for the quick response.

My question was how to have found out in the Grid3 documentation where to modify the slideshow images. I did a workaround, though, so at least I can modify those. Can you confirm the ideal size for those images, though?

More importantly, where/how go I change the Grid images on the homepage (the 9 square-images)? How do I modify the captions as well? Ideal size for them? Can't seem to find the information on the Grid3 documentation page.

I worked around the "can't find save buttons" in the admin by choosing the other admin template they offered. Not as great an interface (going back to 2.5 and before) but at least everything is there! I will try and clear the cache as well.

Hi

Image size can depend on the image subject really
- there isn't a rule or a set image size we add images to templates

With responsive and k2 you can require different options image setting wise.

I'd check out the \images\grid folder to see the image sizes used

The zentools module setting for the grid1 position is using this folder as the directory option pulling random images from the folder and displaying in a light box

Zentools has various options for resizing the images

Save wise it does sound like you have updated Joomla and you need a browser cache clear - you could also check it by viewing the site admin with a browser you don't normally use
