I've downloaded today the quickstart package of the Grid 3 template to create a new website via my localhost.

all the steps, from unzipping the files in the htdocs folder goes perfect however when the site is trying to install the sample data we get completely stuck. The localhost shows as installing but in fact nothing happens apart from a message saying it's downloading...

I tried to install the site without the data samples, which gives me a basic joomla 3.1.5 website. When I check the template manager however, the Grid3 template is nowhere to be found.

I've ran out of ideas on what to do and how to sort this problem. Any suggestions?

The problem is the demo data - with it not completing the grid3 template isn't viewable

if you the discover option in the extension manager you should see the template but it will still mean the site lacks the demo content

What is the localhost you are using?
I'll test this Qucikstart as soon as possible

I've just tested this in xampp and it works ok - is slow installing the demo data however
