We seem to have an issue between the latest T3 plugin and Joomla update released a couple of hours ago - can you hold off updating till a new release of the plugin is released

sorry for any inconvenience

Hi Paul

I updated to joomla 3.2.2 before logging on to joomlabamboo so I'm pretty much locked out of the backend regarding the template.

Any broad idea as to how long the updated T3 will take to be released? Cheers.

Joomla 3.2.2 introduces breaking changes to the template acl.

If you have updated and are unable to access the template admin area then you can download and install a modified version of the plugin here:

T3 modified for Joomla 3.2.2

This version is a temporary fix and removes the broken acl checks in the template admin area.

This is an updated version which contains the correct fix and keeps the acl permissions in place.

The plugins available from template download pages have now been updated so you can update in the usual manner until an official version has been released.

I installed the "plg_system_t3_v2.0.2-fixupdate.zip."
Portal template, General menu:
if Enable Development Mode "ON", then "500 - Can not create css file cached in development folder: t3-assets/dev."
If Enable Development Mode "OFF", then the site works.
To wait for the real update?

Could you turn on the development mode prior to the update? - as locally the development mode is working fine for me

I'll need to talk to a developer regarding your issue as I've so far tried it on a few sites locally and don't have this problem

At this stage I'm wondering if it's something new or something specific to your setup

Here is what I did just to recap. I have Joomla 3.1.6 and
Revision template 1.2.3

I ran the joomla update which has just came out for 3.2. The site seemed ok but I could no longer access just the Extensions Manager. Then I ran a backup I had and was back to before the 3.2 update.

I contacted you and then did the update which said OK and I see Joomla! 3.2.2 Stable [ Ember ] 6-February-2014 16:00 GMT in my system config now. BUT I am still have a big white screen for the Extension Manager.

I will try to update again (I have a backup). I'll turn on the developer mode as you suggested before. But I have a further question: it is a bilingual page (English-Hungarian), should it be better to set the default language to English before update?

Thanks

I am back to a pre 3.2 Joomla and pre T3 fix. Akeeba backup, what a life saver!

Is the Joomla 3.2 update issue with T3 a JooomlaBamboo template issue or for all T3 sites?

I guess since its not a security isssue I will just wait a while for the

This is my current system again.

Its unfortunately a Joomla issue and its caused problems for developers

its an issue with T3, Joomla Bamboo and possibly/probably other template/framework providers

github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/pull/3061

I'd wait to the beginning of the week when the whole Joomla Bamboo team is available - if you don't desperately need to upgrade.

Hi,

The problem was changes in Joomla without supporting old code. The pull request above tries to rectify this problem (github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/pull/3061)

The fix made to the t3 plugin has been accepted so the version you are now using is the 'official fix'.

This only affects access control for the template admin screen and (as far as I know) does not affect the writing of files whilst in development mode.

If your server is having problems writing files to disk then it might be related to either file ownership or permissions.

Regards,
Rob

Rob I have also upgraded, and discovered the glitch with template admin in Portal. I have read the above, and followed the link to github, and I believe my skills don't reach to pull requests. But I can survive until something more accessible comes along -from 'bamboo or J. Will that occur sometime soon?
