i download the Zen Grid 2 Package, but i find no introduction in web, how to install it. My joomla 2.5 installation is ready, Now i´ve download this package:
plg_zengridframework2_Unified_v2.3.2(1)
What is to do with that files?

Hi Karsten,

The zen grid2 template uses a different framework so please don't install it as it won't work properly or at all

You need to download the framework from here

www.joomlabamboo.com/downloads/grid2-downloads

e.g. Zen Grid Framework v1.1 Joomla 2.5

You install it as you would any other extension or template

i tried it out, but i don´t know how to install it, please see the error message in attachaed screenshot.

i would like to install the lifestyle template, it requires Zen Grid Framework v2.0+,
should i really download the Version 1.1?

that means i´m in the wrong forum? i´m sorry for that. it´s all very new for me.
what should i do with the zip-install-file? is it necessary to copy the files to the webserver? when i try to upload the zip-files, it´s not possible,

Hi Karsten,

No problem - we have different sections for each template and extension makes it easier for people to find previous solutions and fixes

If possible avoid attaching word files many of the team don't use word - a jpg is fine

You need to install all templates and extensions via the Joomla installer (exception being zen kit)



click the browse button and search for the extension tht you've already downloaded (you won't need to extract any zip files)

I did it in exactly that way, also i tried it out to install from tmp-file.
it seems i have a problem with rights, after install i got an error message "its not possible to move the ...file"; therefore i wrote an e-Mail to my provider.

i talked with my admin, and we set full rights for all data. Anyway we can´t install the zengrid framework. We got the message "unable to write entry".

Do you have any idea? Or do you know, what folder should be create?

so given your server configuration, did you try enabling ot disabling FTP layer in joomla?

it´s running! the php safe-mode was on. by change the safe-mode to "off" the installation was without any errors.

Didn't come to my mind you are able to change this. But I have to say my server is running this on as well yet I am able to install..probably there is more settings of this.
