Google Analytics Code a '-' is added into s-cript

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi,
I am adding in Google Analytics code into the Extras area of the Element template and after I click 'Save' it then adds a few dashes into the code:

s-cript and j-avascript. Usually in the opening tag areas.

Any ideas of why this might be happening?
I've googled it and looked in this forum and can't see a similar issue.

I've also tried legacy and new modes for whether the code goes up the top or down the bottom...

Thanks,
Jen

Hi,
This is the code I am inserting (see image - I can't insert the code here in the forum post)
analytics_code.png

I have chosen to put the code to sit at end of body tag for now as it shows on the front end:

pacificstrategy.com.au/

I'll have to take this off in a little while as I don't want it showing on the live site.

Thanks,
Jenny

Did I understand you correctly when you said that you are placing this code in "Extra script" area of template configuration? If that is the case, you should put it in "Analytics" area of the template configuration

As it is an odd issue, I have just gone ahead and added the Google Analytics code manually to the framework templates index.php file.

/templates/zengridframework/index.php

Thanks for looking at this issue anyway!

Jen
