Zentools 1.7.1 - Images are not displayed

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I want to show an image plus an intro text of a K2 article. After updating, the before working Zentools module (masonry) did not show any content anymore. Both, image and text were gone.

I could get the text to display, after I changed the access rights to "public" for all of these articles (no fun to do in K2). This trick also helped me with accordion contents. I could not get the images to re-appear though.

Unfortunately, I updated quite a bunch of modules and extensions, so I cannot say for sure which one caused it.
K2 v2.6.1
Zentools v1.7.1

If you need to see my example, please have a look at:
testlsc.lsc-badhomburg.net/

PS.: I was trying several times to get on "version-information" on your site, but could not connect.

Hi

Interesting one - are you running the framework and the jblibrary plugin on the site? - you only need the framework plugin

the site is showing query errors - do you have the k2 jquery disabled?

Thanks

I had the JBlibrary module turned on, but turned it off now. I applied the settings like shown in your link, although there was not much I needed to change. At least the K2 settings were right.

Still, the images do not show.

I turned it off. Initially I had it installed to prevent menu problems. Fortunately they did not reappear after turning it off. The images still do not show though :-(

This is weird. Check URL of those images: <img src="/" alt="Segelflug" title="Segelflug">

I do believe that you have wrong defined your setting for loading images from k2, because when I open your k2 article, there is no such image specified.

Maybe, if you could create ticket with superadmin access so I could take a look, that would be best.

Ok, I just opened a ticket and sent the required data.

The strange thing for me is that I only updated K2, but did not change any paths (at least not consciously). I hope you'll find a solution. Tx in adavance.

So solution is:
1) inside ZenTools you defined to load images from intro text
2) your k2 introtext doesn't have any image
3) inside ZenTools setting you have enabled placeholder image, but image is not specified

All these 3 items together are reason why you see broken image link. If you fix at least one of them it will look OK.

So I disabled placeholder and as image selected Small from k2 image and voila..solved :)

Hi, Zuzuzu:

I, too, upgraded Zentools to 1.7.1 and lost my opening slideshow.

Following your solutions items:

1) inside ZenTools you defined to load images from intro text

(Mine is set to a directory)

2) your k2 introtext doesn't have any image

(Shouldn't apply as the image source is set to a directory)

3) inside ZenTools setting you have enabled placeholder image, but image is not specified

No placeholder is specified.

This is the only update I did, so the issue must be related to the Zentools upgrade.

Can you advise...appreciate it!

Hi Zuzuzu,

the major part is definitely solved. I am not sure yet, if I understood it all, but as it works, I am happy.

I am still having an issue with K2 and access rights, but I'll open another thread for that.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Yes, all is well. I ran Admin Tools and cleared out the cache in both Joomla and my browsers. I also did a reinstall of the latest Zentools using the standard installer of Akeeba (not the one with Restore Points).

I'm not sure which of the above worked, but the slideshow is back up.

THANKS!!
