best setting for zengrid and K2 to play nicely?

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi, I'm getting multiple errors when checking the Firefox Error Console.

Mostly:
Error: ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined
Source File: .../components/com_k2/js/k2.js

What are the optimum settings for K2 2.6 and Zengrid to play nicely together?

In the K2 parameters I've disabled the loading of jQuery and in the JB template parameters have set it to load the latest jQuery from Google and enabled noconflict.

The site is in development here

Hi Mark,

It's likely to be caused by K2 loading in an unneeded instance of jQuery.

docs.joomlabamboo.com/using-joomla/how-to-disable-the-k2-version-of-jquery

Let us know if that fixes it.

Thanks Anthony but as I mentioned in the first post I've already disabled jQuery in the K2 parameters.

If you view the source you'll see only one instance of jQuery.

Could it be something to do with the new version of K2?

Hi Mark,

I'm seeing a console error relating to K2 no.conflict. Can you try disabling jQuery no-conflict option in the template parameters to see if that resolves it? Thanks.

Actually I see.

You have stripped mootools but modal.js is loading ont he page.

You also need to strip that script in the template settings.

Thanks

Thanks Anthony, I gave that a go but still no joy. I've changed the order of System Plugins as well to try and ensure jQuery and noconflict loads first but still getting lots of errors.

I'll combine it with my support ticket about the read more not working in zentools, it's probably the same issue, thanks ;)

I resolved it in the end by re-enabling Mootools, it seems something in there can't do without it
