K2 Zenkit and Avatars

I'm using K2 - Jomsocial Integration which is set to use Jomsocial avatars.

Using the blog K2 template in (under Category) Item view Options - I click to see the authors avatar and when I do the Jomsocial - avatar show - great!

When I look at Item view options in category listings the option is to show the author or not (no mention of Avatar) - If I show the author I get the K2 avatar - is there some code I could add to the blog template for item in category so it shows the author image the same way it does in Item view?

to get this to work you have to add the code for the substitution of the avatar into the plugin to affect the category view (after all most K2 category views don't show author image.
