SOLVED: Zen Kit masonry not working properly (several problems)

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi bambooers,

I 'installed' the Zen Kit v1.02 K2 templates following the instructions.
I'm using J2.5.6, K2 v2.5.7, Zen Grid 2.2.9, Windows webserver.
Both Zen Grid as the plugin are installed and active.
Jquery is loaded (checked with firebug) and so is mootools.

When using the masonry K2 template several things are not working as in the online demo.

I see duplicated tags (so they are not grouped). When I have 4 leading items with the same tag, this tag ends up 4 times in the tagfilter.

Apart from that, nothing happens when I click on one of the tags. Only '#' is added to the url, and nothing else happens.

While checking for errors I found the following that might be important (see attached screenshot).

I tried an empty Joomla install, I tried the quixkstart, I tried a different server, but without luck.

Was this already reported by someone (I wasn't able to find a Zen Kit forum folder) or do I need to create a ticket for this?

Regards,
Chantal

Hi Chantal,

Thats likely to be caused by an extra version of jQuery loading on the page.

docs.joomlabamboo.com/using-joomla/how-to-disable-the-k2-version-of-jquery

If that's not the case please post a link and Ill investigate further for you.

Thanks

Hi Anthony,

on one site it was indeed the K2 jquery script that was causing this.
On another test site switching off K2 jquery did not help.

However when I changed the jquery version from 1.7 to 1.6 the problems went away (it didn't matter if I uses the local or Google 1.7 version: both did not work right in some browsers).

Regards & thank you for your help,
Chantal
