I'm a little confused as to what plugin/framework to use with which version.

Right now on the download page for Zengrid there doesn't appear to be a Version 2.0 framework download. Rather there appears to be only the plugin.

Which is my first question... does 2.0 exist? Do I need a plugin for it?

Further, if I'm using Version 1.. do I only need JBLibrary.

Please help my confusion.

Ill work on the text not he download page but I thought that Seth's response here covered this:

In a nutshell:

1. All v1.1+ Framework compatible templates need ZGF v1.1 and JB LIbrary

2. All ZGF 2+ Themes just need the Zen Grid Framework plugin and do not need JB LIbrary.

mate I'm really sorry, but I'm still confused by 2.0 I can see the plugin, but what about the blank template and do you mean that I don't need to install the framework as a template?

I see the confusion.

You need to use the Responsive template as the new starter theme.

A blank and other skeleton themes are coming soon.
