Greeting all!

I've been looking at the 1140 grid system (cssgrid.net/) and can see that it could solve several problems but I love the ZGF and default template options. Has anyone played with putting the 2 together and willing to share information? Can it be done or am I just an insane, middle aged Texan? Probably the later! LOL!
Of course I could get lucky and it will all be in the next release...NOT! Thanks for any suggestions.

Ive actually been playing with 1140 and I really like it. Ive ported some of the layout code to use it already and it is highly likely that it will be available in the next major update of the framework. Only unknown is that Im not able to give you a timeline for when that will occur.

SWEET!!! Will that be with the Joomla 1.6 upgrade? Cause I'm on hold with sites until then cause I need the ACL and don't want to lock into one of the extensions now. Course, I'll move things over when that little diddy is ready anyhow!

We'll first get it working on the 1.5 framework before we port it to the 1.6 Zengrid framework. A fair few unknowns in there so not much we can promise at this stage but how good is 1140

I hear that about 1.5! I'm just holding the hope Anthony is right about some ZGF for J1.6 soon! Knowing there's hope for 1140 without me re-inventing the wheel works! You guys ROCK!!! Should have known you'd have been looking at it.

Yeah, this is one I am waiting for too, 1140 rocks.

I love the utility it brings to mobile device formats, without having to resort to template switches.

Hi Matthew,

Its likely that it will be an alternative layout in the framework itself. eg it would transform the current layout to use the 1140 grid.

But will be a while before that happens I think.
