Enabling SEF URLs does not allow pages to be shown

Hello,

I went here (docs.joomla.org/SEF_URLs_in_Joomla!_1.5) to enable SEF URLs to my Newstream template (the systems - SEF plugin is enabled too). However, when I do, only my homepage is shown and when I click on other pages, it throws me this error message. Please see attachment:

What am I doing wrong? Any help is most appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi there,

Are you using the mod_rewrite option? eg changing the htaccess.txt to h.htaccess file.

Try doing that and it should work.

That worked! I just had to find a way to rename given I'm on a Mac. Thanks Anthony!
