Zen Grid Framework update

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hello :)
How do I know if the framework (in my case Zen Grid Framework v5 for the Build.r template) has been updated?
If there is an update, where to download it?
I’ve version 5.0.5 of ZGFv5 and the changelog link of the template doesn’t give any information (Article not found - is the case for all your templates!)

In the template administration there is a display problem with the "saved setting" toolbar which is positioned in the wrong place, has this been fixed?

Thank you

Lorenzo

Hello Paul,
no, the “Saved Settings” toolbar goes above the “Details" and “Menu Assignment" tab... this was not the case in ZGFv4 version.

In the ZGFv4 version:

In the ZGFv5 version:

How to know which is the latest version of the framework? I have version 5.0.5, is there a newer version?

Another thing: I also noticed that in Build.r, in the template administration, the "Menu" and "Select-menu" positions are no longer available in the "Available modules" section once they have been removed from their position, they can’t be displayed again.
If I reload the page before saving the style, they reappear again.

Thank you

Lorenzo

Hi

I see a green box on save - do you not see that?

It isn't a horizontal bar but a box instead

Hello Paul,
... I think we don't understand each other because I asked several questions

I will summarize my questions, I will appreciate if you could answer me in the order below:

1. In the template administration there is a display problem with the "saved setting" toolbar which is positioned in the wrong place, this toolbar goes above the “Details" and “Menu Assignment" tab.

If I understood correctly you have a new update for this issue?

2. In the template administration, the "Menu" and "Select-menu" positions are no longer available in the "Available modules" section, once they have been removed from their position, they can’t be displayed again.
I've this same problem also with other positions... :pinch:
I need to reload the page (before saving the style) to display them again.

3. How to know if a new version of the framework is available?

Thank you again

Hi Lorenzo,

1. Message style saved won't change at the moment it is a green box rather than a bar but does say saved

The tabs I misunderstood what the solution is - I thought this was a plugin. The problem is due to Joomla core css changes.

To change the css we will need to update every template released in the last 3 years

2. I can't replicate this problem and as far as I'm aware it has not cropped up elsewhere on tickets and on the forum.

3. The framework update is no longer relevant I'm afraid and we are considering out options

Cheers

I encountered #2 a few days ago - the module position I wanted was somehow available in the next grid row below. I activated it, then dragged it into the logowrap row. For some reason, it worked.

For #1, open templates/buildr/zengrid/admin/css/style.css

around line 7906 find #template-toolbar and change top:217px to top:236px

hmm not sure how that happened regarding the position row

Some modules that aren't grid specific can be a little confusing to find

Thanks for adding the css I should have added that
