How to cach the template js and css files?

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi there,

I guess it is a general question. But I can I best cache .js and CSS files?

Will it work well together with the inbuilt compression options?

Thanks a lot

Hi There,

Are you referring to build.r templates and the zen grid framework 5?

Cheers

Hi There,

There are some settings in the settings tab, we do have a htaccess file you can download

However, it sounds like you are wanting to reduce the file requests

Users do use jchoptimise and I use that myself but it is an extension you have to test and test and test

Whenever I use the extension it will at some point break the site completely and then I dial back the settings till it works

You need to be particularly careful with dynamic modules loading js e.g. modules like zentools

Cheers
