- How can I get an email that says it's time to update the Joomla version?
- How do I know if the template, plugins and core are updated to the latest version?

You should be getting alerts about joomla core updates now - is that not the case?

There are some paid services that offer update options for Joomla sites - I can dig out some info on those if interested
