New lifetyle slow

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

www.lbyafrica.com

hi there i've used the New lifestyle template

the backend is very very slow

and the hosting company has upped the memory?
They said it might be something to do with the template??
So they suggested I must go to Pingdom and test it - see results below.

can it be the extensions???

Do I need K2 - how can I uninstall it???

I really don't know what to do anymore
I'm transfering the site to my own domain again to see if its better

Can you maybe guide me in the right direction

Hi there, fellow webmaster.

I just tested www.lbyafrica.com with the Full Page test in Pingdom Tools.

This specific test was done on August 17 at 08:09:24 from Dallas, Texas, USA. The web page took 4.84 s to load, used 67 requests, and weighed in at 769.8 kB.

The Google Page Speed performance grade for this web page is 83/100.

There’s a ton of more information you can check out here: tools.pingdom.com/#!/dT5aMR/http://www.lbyafrica.com

Cheers!

Hi Marti,

"the backend is very very slow"

The backend isn't affected by the front end template - this is the Joomla administrator template and the Joomla core code

The performance data is alright

The Google Page Speed performance grade for this web page is 83/100.

I think you could improve this but it isn't bad and better than average

The template is intended to be built using zentools as zentools2 wasn't published until over a year afterward

but the module should work can you perhaps add a module back?

So we can see the errors that might be happening

ok i've installed zen tools again

basicly everything on the home page is Zentools

and then under Products - navigation bar
led modules - here I've placed a carousel in the artle using Zentools 2

Anything I can do regarding the back end being so slow?

You can disable modules that display on the administrator side

But I'd check the site logs and use the developer tools in Chrome while in the administrator side to see what is happening

Hi there

I've uninstalled K2 - so the error messages in the logs don't show any more after the 14th of august

But I still get the following error after the 18th of August

Notice: Undefined index: media in /home/lbyafewi/public_html/plugins/system/t3/includes/core/minify.php on line 237

Should I update the T3 framework -
I don't get notifications that I need to update it?

Please advise
thx
