Blogging the basic form is part of Joomla Core so all JB templates will work out of the box. Just use articles for the blog post, then use Joomla menu items to create the blog post list and styling. JB templates will take care of the styling, and you can use zentools2 to style and present further in modules.

For more serious blogging many people will use a blogging component to streamline the process, especially around image resizing, like K2 or EasyBlog. Zentools2 added support for Easyblog a while back zentools2.joomlabamboo.com/content-sources/easyblog-posts

Sorry I may be missing your question, but all templates within Joomla/JB are able to host a blog, no specific template is better than any other in my opinion. Just down to the look and feel.

You can add on a comment component, there are several around, I believe JB currently use Disqus although the blog is not on Joomla platform. If you elect to use K2 or Easyblog both have plugins and add-on to allow comments to work with their blog post. Be careful with K2 to set it up the comments correctly as it has often been a source of spam hacking in the past.

The JB team may be able to add some more, hope my comments help a little.

I'd echo Ian's comments we don't have a specific template blog as all templates have blogging capabilities

If you needed to build on the default blogging capabilities in Joomla you can extend using extensions as listed by Ian

You would face a learning curve adding new extensions like k2 if not used previously

If K2 has spam problems, I choose Easyblog, because it appears to be also integrated in Zentools2.
