Hey - this is only happening in one of our sites, the other ones are fine. I have also tried loading the same twitter name into a module in another site (where the links were working) and it is also occurring.

When pressing the time link - ie about 19 hours ago - the twitter link the page is directed to is broken.

This is occurring in accan.org.au/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=260&Itemid=309

From comparing the link in the Jtweet module with the actual link I can see that numbers are being changed on the end of the correct Twitter link therefor breaking it.

For example
Correct Link: twitter.com/ACCAN_AU/statuses/56125874470268928
Link outputted by jtweet module (and broken)
twitter.com/ACCAN_AU/statuses/55875068454125570

and another:

Correct Link: twitter.com/ACCAN_AU/statuses/55887358196846593
Link outputted by jtweet module (and broken)
twitter.com/ACCAN_AU/statuses/55887358196846590

and

Hi, Sorry for the interuption.

I have the same problem as described above.

Older tweets works well, and recent tweets give the error as described above. Tested on serveral accounts.

On some accounts tweets 100 days or older work, recent tweets dont.
On other accounts tweets 20 days or older work, recent tweets dont.

How can i disable the text 'xx days ago'?

jTweets version 1.6.0

I upgraded to 1.6.0 but hasn't helped.

Using Joomla v 1.5.22

It is an option for us if we need to, however I think it adds relevance to have a time stamp...

Sorry, I can see this issue is still 'in progress' and has yet to be fixed. All developer effort is currently focussed on Joomla 1.6 compatibilty for the framework and JB extensions, as well as new templates of course.

It will get fixed in due course, but the commercial stuff obviously has to take precedence.

Not sure how much of a coder you are, but I believe (I may be wrong; I am not a coder!) that this is an issue with the sea of clouds script on which jTweet is based. That script has since been updated, so you may be able to update it yourself.

I'm a muck-a-rounder at best not a coder! What would be good is if the info still pulled through - ie the time stamp, however this was not linked - so the info is there but there is no link to take you to a broken place.

Anyone have a suggestion on how to make that hack?

Thanks for Jak for prompting me on this.

I have an unofficial fix - unofficial in that it will be apart of the next major update.

Basically if you replace the contents of modules/mod_jTweet/js/jquery.tweet.js with the one that I have attached it will fix the issue for you.

It looks like the sea of clouds people have added some really nice new features:

Sea of clouds have added some neat stuff like:

refresh rate,
templating,
tweet sorting
retweet button
display favourite tweets and probably a few extra things.

We actually customised the script to do some of these things so when the new version gets released I imagine it will be a little leaner with some more goodies as well.
