Does jTweet show retweets? ("Retweeted by")

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hey there.

I have the module successfully installed and showing tweets from my client's twitter.

Thing is, I want to show only the latest 1 tweet, a single tweet alla JB's jtweet on your homepage.

This is fine when the last tweet on the twitter site was form the actual client but when the tweet is a retweet it doesn't show and so if I have the "tweet count" set to 1 the module is blank.

- is there any way to include retweets?

Many thanks, jak

Hi Jak,

Pretty sure the module can do this. Can you upload a screenshot of your settings?

OK, so now it "exceeds maximum height" - this is the height of the module so maybe you need to reset your limits on uploads or can i email to you?

your limits are set to:

img width and height = 800 px
img size = 150 kb

let me know. thanks, jak

You have 'display replies' set to 'no'. Try switching that to yes...

thanks Seth, I already tried that and doesn't seem to make any difference - will still only display the actual client's tweets. i was going to try and use the query box but not sure how that all works?

The query basically brings in any reference made to the term. eg you could put surinf there and get all tweets related to surfing. might be a good solution for you if the other method isnt working.

Not sure if I'm following this right? Is there a way to show retweets and regular twitter posts while not showing replies?

I set replies to on and I still don't see the retweets.

If I set replies to off then my regular post count of three drops if there are replies at the top of the tweet list. Any way to change that as well?

I set the query to RT with my twitter username I don't get any change in results. I probably am not getting how to use the query function properly.

I don't think so, no. At least not currently.

Even with replies set on, blind RT's (with no comment) will not be shown. If you add any comment to a RT, it will be shown.
