Jtweet, tweets wont load

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi al (from the Netherlands)l,

I just started a new website, where I put this beautiful module. I downloaded the latest version of Jtweet and installed it in Joomla. 1.5.15 (most recent version available). I also downloaded the library plugin and installed it.

Now when I enable the module it only shows the Bird icon  I already tried different setting but nothing helps.
I'm currently using Joomla's basic template.

www.nauman.nl/joomla (have to change it to main directory, just beta :) )

Regards,

Kay

Hoi Kay,

I think you just need to enable the JBLibrary plugin. I don't see jQuery loading on your site....

Hello Everybody,

we're having the same problem, with JLibrary enabled and all settings seem to be correct.
All we see is the bird icon and Follow Us on Twitter... text.
www.helloworld.co.th
Tried different usernames, but still the same issue.

Please advise.
Thanks

Script conflict methinks.

I can see jQuery loading 4 times, with 3 diff versions. 1.2.6 (x2), 1.3.2 and 1.4.2. None of them are being loaded by JB Library.

I suggest disabling the jQuery being loaded by your various other components and enabling JB Library.

Hi There,

I am having the same problem with the Tweets. We had it working perfectly. Nothing has changed. We loaded no new Components, Modules, or Plugins and it just stopped working.

I uploaded the JB Library Plugin and that didn't do the trick either.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Chuck

Thanks for replying.
What exactly do I have to do and HOW am I supposed to do it? :)
I only selected 1 version in the JB Library settings for JQuery.
Thanks

Hey

@Chuck : No sure what changed but you have an older version of JTweet which is loading its own jQuery. In addition to that JB Library is also loading jQuery.
I'd recommend updating them both to the latest.

@HW : You have more than 4 module and components loading jQuery on your site.
JB Library, Community Builder and twice by list manage. You will need to disable jQuery in all these except JB Library and that should get rid of the javascript errors on your page.

Cheers,
Jason.

I cannot find Community Builder and list manage.
Are these plugins or modules? I looked in both folder, but nothing.
How do I do it?
Thanks

HW,

We don't provide support for 3rd party extensions. You installed these extensions, so I suggest that you check the documentation or look to those 3rd parties for an answer to your question.

VB is a component. I can't tell you anything about list manage as I have never heard of it. Sorry.

You can confirm that these extensions are the cause of the issue with jTweet simply by disabling them. That will cause jTweet to start working.

Hey there,

If you set the tweet count to 0 in the parameters, that should work. Looks like you have it working already though. Let us know.

Cheers,
Jason.

Hi Jason,

If I only set the tweet count to 0 it will still display 1 tweet.

Set it to 0 and had to set "Display your tweets or query?" to Twitter Query. Only then it works.

Thanks for your reply,
Avi
