The administrator has disabled public write access.
Could you be more specific?
I have to excuse but I do not understand what you mean and why your jmaps does't work.
Maybe best to add URL to your site.

Going at thebarinstitute.gr/index.php/en/contact there is a space under the contact form. In this "below" position I display a jbmap for the institute.

I have an .htaccess file that is based on snipt.net/nikosdion/the-master-htaccess which I attach

File Attachment:

File Name: htaccess-true.zip
File Size: 2 KB

I cannot find which setting to add to allow jbmaps to display the map. I know it has nothing to do with the template and is beyond this support, but if it is something easy and quick for you I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance
Mike

Ahh, sorry, this is beyond me. And just question, if you remove that htaccess jb maps works correctly?

And did you try to add jmaps plugin into exclusion list like you have zenrgidframework folder?

Hi Mike,

I've just tried your htaccess file and jbmaps still show for me so the problem might be somewhere else.

Did you try Zuzuzu's suggestion of trying it out with the standard .htaccess file?

Hi Rob

You tried the attached file and jbmaps worked for you?
If so then there is a server problem/solution.

I did try to exclude jbmaps folder from security with no solution. That was the reason I posted this question here....

What is the standard .htaccess file?

There is a file called htaccess.txt in the root of every joomla install. If you backup your current file and then rename that one to .htaccess does the map then begin to show?

I see a javascript error on your page related to the maps.

It looks like the map is trying to initialize before the body of the page has been loaded

I'm not sure what the cause is at the moment but can you try disabling the slideshow3 module on that page to rule out any conflicts.

slideshow is disabled on that page (thebarinstitute.gr/index.php/en/contact )

Could be the jb- library settings:?

Here are my settings:
Use script loader - NO
load Jquery - YES
JQ source - Jquery CDN
JQ version - 1.8.2.min
JQ No-conflict - Enabled
Remove other jq - YES
Strip other scripts is set to NO
also ie6 Warning is enabled

I am not familiar for all these settings, could it be that the first (script loader) if se to YES changes the error you mentioned?

I see that.

Could you have a play with the settings and see if you can narrow it down and I will see if I can replicate the problem here.

No errors, but do you not need the jblibrary plugin for anything else?

Yes, I think it is needed by your template.

Try the scriptloader setting and see if that works.

Sorry, I missed your earlier post there.

I think we have found the initial problem and the developers are working on a fix now.

Glad it's working!
