Hi,

I've got JBMaps2 currently on my site. I couldn't figure out how to add a second marker. In looking for hte answer I noticed that there is an updated version (JBMaps2.5). My current version is JBMaps2 1.0.3.

I manually uploaded the newer version but it is not showing in the extension list. any suggestions are welcome. Do I need to first uninstall the previous version? Am I looking in the wrong place? I've checked in Extension Manager > Manage, as well as in the Module Manager.

Hi Andy,

There are two map modules one called JBMaps and the other JBMaps2

The much more modern version is JBMaps2 which is Joomla3 compatible only

Can I just check you are installing the right one?

Yes, I'm trying to install (udate) JBMaps 2. I've currently got both JBMaps and JBMaps2 installed. JBMaps2 is the one I'm using and would like to update from 1.0.3 to the current 1.2.5.

Hi Andy,

It should update if you just install via the standard joomla installer - just install over the top of the existing version

To add an extra marker just click the in the actual map display in the module

Maybe I did successfully update it. It is reading as version 1.0.3 in the Module Manager, but I think I did everything correctly.

Either way, it's working and I got the second location added.
