CC - Joomla articles only? No K2?

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Imagine my disappointment.

Hi David,

Captify does work with K2 items as well. Are you experiencing issues?

i don't get an option to select K2 items...only Joomla articles.

A reinstall of CC seems in order.

Actually the J1.7 version hasn't been updated to use k2 items.

I will be adding a captify like styling to the zentools module in the next major release.

Cheers Anthony

so my plans for Grid2 die just as i begin setting it up. Joomla articles do not have authentically nested categories, in that you can't filter on a middle-tier category and still get everything below it. Yikes!

The hidden menu is just so that when you click on the article you get a page that is specific to the content item - e.g. has an itemid - and not just the home page.

Shouldn't matter which position you publish it to - it's just the same as other modules.

Getting a result. totally bummed about lack of K2 support - K2 is better than Joomla's own core article base. Why isn't K2 built into Joomla?

Because K2 for Joomla 1.7 is a relatively new release and we are well behind on our todo list.

As I said I will beading captify like features to zentools int he next major release.

only the home (default, starred) item needs to be a joomla article. all the rest can be K2.

is this an undocumented feature?

Actually a little bit of a holiday brain fade.

The latest version of captify does support k2 for J1.7.
only the home (default, starred) item needs to be a joomla article. all the rest can be K2.

Where is that written?

holiday?

i was wrong about the joomla 1 / K2 others. Talk about brain fade (due to Southern Tier 2X Stout).

I'm not getting images from the K2 Items though.

The hidden menu thing makes this tricky for anyone not experienced....adds a permutation of complexity to this that your average content typist won;t be able to manage.

Right stout can do that to you :)

The hidden menu is a Joomla thing and not related to your issue at any rate.

A link and a screenshot of your settings will help.

Fatal error: Call to undefined method K2ModelItemlist::getCategoryChilds() in /home/staging0/public_html/jupgrade/modules/mod_captifyContent/helper.php on line 727

WAIT - need to change over the menus again. my bad. good stout thoughl

i gave j and cpanel details

ftp is a bit trickier - they make you download a client script and open a tunnel. (you know the drill.) my normal ftp doesn't work, even with the identical credentials.

Any luck getting CC to work with K2 on Joomla 1.7? I'm using Joomla 1.7.3 and K2 2.5.4. CC sees my K2 categories but can't find any items (see attached) and on the front end it just says "Error! Unable to retrieve any Images!" Under "General Settings" I've tried both K2 Items and K2 categories, and within the "K2 Item Settings" I've also tried both Items and Categories. No luck... It works fine with Joomla articles though.

Cheers,
Chris
