captify content url change

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

When using article filtering type Url of the article became :

parent-menu-article-2/article-title

instead of

parent-menu-article/article-title

there is a -2 adding to the parent menu name, so the article where the Captify content point is ok on the screen but the affected modules do not show because of the changes in the url

Anybody can help me ? Thanks a lot

Christian

Note :

To better explain, I have captify content and the links are ARTICLES

So when we click on the image it goes to an article.

There is a menu item for this article

The menu item is a submenu

the url to go to the article is by exemple : www.mysite.com/menu/article

But when using captify content , the url became : ww.mysite.com/menu-2/article

I want to get rid of the -2 so the article can show on the screen with the modules assign to this item menu.

Thanks (and sorry for my english... ;-)

What do you get if you change one link to an alias of the other link?

if not familiar with this its under menu link types > system links > menu item alias and when prompted select the link you want to point to

The modules are assigned to the real link rather than the alias one

OK SOLVED !!

There was double menu links in the trash , and emptying the trash did solved the double link problem. Now there is only one menu link and the -2 have disappeared !!

Thanks for your help.

ah - nice one :)

I would check out aliases if you find you need the same links in two different menus - I use it all the time :)
