Fatal Error in articles.php

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I just updated from Joomla 2.5.16 to 2.5.18 and from the Captify Condent Module 1.1.13 to 1.1.14
I included the the module to several articles with {loadposition captifyContent}.
It works on Joomla 2.5.16 and Captify Content 1.1.13 and it also works in Joomla 2.5.18 and Captify Content 1.1.13.
When i updated to Captify Content 1.1.4 i got an error
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class ContentModelArticles in /var/www/html/joomla/components/com_content/models/articles.php on line 600

Is there anything i can do?

Greetings
Till

The administrator has disabled public write access.
Can you try to switch to the default Joomla template just to see if this error will show with it?

I guess you get this error message on the frontend of the website? Can you try to set error reporting to the None to see if the page is rendered correctly?

If i turn off error_reporting i get a blank white page. I also tried standard Joomla Template and got the same result.
If i deactivate the module the page renders correctly (except of the module content).

Pleas try to install previous version of the module and I will report this issue to our devs so they can address it and fix it

Thank you very much.
I reinstalled my backup before upgrading and made the updates without updating this module.

Great that you had a backup in a first place. You would be amazed how many people just go around and update anything without a backup and all they can do if something goes wrong is sit and cry :-)

Hi

Are you able to test a beta update for this issue?

I'd suggest making a backup before trying it

Thanks
Paul

Right I think you will need to go back to the previous backup as I've tried in a few sites and I don't get that error I'm afraid
