Kaspersky thinks mootools.js file is a virus

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Kaspersky A/V is considering the mootools.js file a virus. This just started happening today and I'm loaded with phone calls and may have to disable and uninstall all together. Does something need to be changed in this file??

Hi Mario,

I havent heard of this happening before. I do know that ie6 can get a little cranky with some javascripts but generally not the mootools file itself.

Is this happening in J1.5? If so then you can prevent the file from being loaded automatically if you are not suing mootools. Otherwise you could download a fresh version of mootools and then see if that has the same effect.

I guess the main thing I need to know is what template are you using? which version of Joomla and are you using any thing that needs mootools.

Cheers Anthony

Well I had to take it off my live site but you can go to Communityofexcellence.org and if you have Kaspersky installed it will give you a warning immediately. The FAQ's mod is located under departments and then Town Clerk... at the bottom. Thanks for looking

Hi Mario,

I dont have Kaspersky installed. Did you try to replace the contents of the mootools.js?

I just did a quick google and found this link:
modxcms.com/forums/index.php?topic=15712.0

I think they recommend replacing the contents of the file with some fresh moo.
