I'm new to Joomlabamboo and not sure if this is the correct process for posting this question....but if you can please advise how I can implement a favicon for my new joomla website (vintage for joomla 2.5) - I would greatly appreciate it. I tried searching but didn't see a post in the forum regarding favicons - hopefully this is not a repetitive post.

Hi Libba,

The favicon is located inside your template folder. If you view source this page

bambootheme.com/showcase/mar12/

You can see that it loads the favicon from

<link href="/showcase/mar12/templates/jbvintage/favicon.ico" rel="shortcut icon" type="image/x-icon" />

You can change the default favicon with yours by replacing it.

Create your new favicon and place it in the Template directory.

For example:
yourjoomlasite.com/templates/jbintrepid/favicon.ico

When you overwrite the existing favicon it can be some time before it appears you will need to clear a cache or two

Firefox is particularily stubborn is this regard
