I have managed to get the new Bamboo Platform loaded up to a test url and would like to begin to fill it with content from existing site. How do you be recommend I do this?

Hi Phillip,

It depends which version you are moving from.

If you are going from J1.5 to J2.5 then you need to use jUpgrade but that will create a new site and not integrate with the new site you have just set up.

The other option if its going from a separate j1.7 to J2.5 site is to use php myadmin to only export the relevant tables from the modules, content and template settings etc.

The last option really depends on your skill level with phpmyadmin and Joomla.

Generally I would advise cloning your current site using akeeba backup and then setting the template up on the cloned site. Once the setup is completed I would then recommend moving it back to the main url when it's ready.
