unzip folder on remote server

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi,

simplexml is another php extension that you will need to ask your host to install. It usually comes as default with shared hosting, as well as the gd library as they are both commonly used by many programs.

Regards,

Rob

I'm on chat with the host right now. They have the GD library installed and now he's looking into the error message that I get when I go to the template.

This all happened when I change the folder names. It's strange.

simplexml is a php extension that joomla relies on to read configuration files.
You can check if it is installed by going to system information in the admin area.
If simplexml is installed then there is an error somewhere in an xml file that should be noted in the error message.

If you change folder names then you should correct the paths in your configuration file (but this will not be causing the errors, you just won't be able to install anything).

simplexml is installed too. What happens is really just with zentools. I removed a zentool module from the front page. Otherwise it wouldn't start. And I have many pages with zentools slideshows and they won't open. When I go to the template manager I can get to other templates, but with the Base3 I get the xml error message.

Did you upload the site file by file in the end or use akeeba?

The error on the frontent is related to the gd library
Fatal error: Call to undefined function imagecreatefromjpeg()

This is a direct call to a function provided by that library.
It is used by the image resizer so if you turn off image resizing in the module settings then it will remove the error.

If you have errors on the backend with zentools modules then I would recommend installing the latest zentools over the top of the current install to check if any files are corrupt/damaged.

I used akeeba.

Where are the module settings? Global configuration or I have to edit each module?

I tried both and I got another error message:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 71 bytes) in /home/alinamn/public_html/new/libraries/phputf8/utils/unicode.php on line 208

I reinstalled the zentools from the file that I had, but it asks for a Zlib. I tried to download zentools again, but it's no more available. I'm having a zentools nightmare :-)))

zlib is another php extension that Joomla will need to unzip extensions.

It sounds like your current hosting is not suited to running Joomla.

I don't personally like to recommend hosts as there are potential problems with any of them, however, joomlabamboo is hosted by siteground who specialise in joomla and there is also cloudaccess who are also joomla specialists.
