Slideshow Operation

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi JB Team...

I am using ZenBase for one of my sites (currently offline). However, instead of using Zentools for the Banner Slideshow, I am using Breezing_Slideshow by Crosstec.de. This version of slideshow will not work with this ZenBase installation. I think it might need jQuery installing.

Can I install JQuery or is there an alternative?

G'day Anthony...
Here's a link..
www.parliamentariansbc.ca

The slideshow I am having trouble with on on this page:
www.parliamentariansbc.ca/about-us

Zentools works fine, I just prefer the 'Title Texts' on the breezing-slideshow.

You will also notice an error message:

Warning

Error loading component: com_tags, Component not found

Hi Tony,

Com_tags was introduced in Joomla 3.1 did anything go wrong whilst updating? If you got to the extensions manager and check the discover and database tabs do you see anything there?

Jquery is already loaded by the template and it looks to be loading in the correct place.

I see a couple of errors coming from the rokbox plugin. Does disabling that start the slideshow?

Good Morning Paul:
I disabled the two RokBox plugins - RokBox-Content and RokBox-System and then enabled them since they didn't seem to make a difference. I have now disabled them again so you can take a further look at the page.

Does the module offer any options regarding jquery-ui.min?

As this is giving 5 errors

Cheers

Hi Paul:

The options are:
Load jQuery Library -- I have that 'enabled'
(Is jQuery actually installed?)
There is a Module Tag option:
The following in a dropdown list: div section aside nav address article

All the other options are pretty normal...

Also, even using Zentools (see HOME PAGE), I cannot replicate the quickstart that shows titles 'INSIDE' the graphics...

Hi Tony,

Jquery is being loaded so that isn't the problem

media/zen/js/jquery/jquery-1.8.3.min.js

but it looks like the

12 errors are coming from
www.parliamentariansbc.ca/modules/mod_breezing_slideshow/tmpl/js/jquery-ui.min.js

Uncaught TypeError: Object function (e,t){return new v.fn.init(e,t,n)} has no method 'curCSS'

Thanks Paul... what is the solution to this.

And why are the titles in Zentools on the HOME page not showing the titles inside the images?

With the first issue I'd check the extension developers forum to see if they have a solution

I'd try change the order of the title/image and also see if changing the title from span helps

Hi Paul:
I decided NOT to use this module... but, I still need to know how I can use Zentools on the home page to have the titles appear 'inside' of the image...

Is the title before the image in the zentools settings drag and drop section?

Hi Paul... Yes, it is...
It is really strange as I have used Zentools before on other templates and never came across this problem!

Hi Tony,

Is this what you are looking for?

To get the text on top I think you need to change the slideshow module theme to standard rather than flat

Hi Paul:

I will make that change (I have already tested that previously) and you will see an undesired result.
